As sponsor, and member of the jury on the panel for the Donor Society for the German science (Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft), Scientia GmbH has supported the competition “Campus online” throughout 2008. In April this year, it was announced that the winners of the competition were Universität Freiburg, Universität Augsburg and Bauhaus Universität Weimar.

Ingrid Becker, Scientia GmbH representative, was invited to review one of the winners, the Bauhaus University Weimar. The speech focussed upon the ground-breaking and exemplary contribution by the institution which resulted in them winning against competition from more them 40 institutions. Ingrid Becker also highlighted the strong relationships colleagues had, and the trust between each that had been built throughout the project.

With their concept of a Digital Bauhaus, Bauhaus University Weimar took the lead position in the state of Thuringia, for the upcoming project “Campus Thüringen”, where all HE institutions of this East-German state work alongside and benefit from closer relationships with each other.

Scientia GmbH has a number of longstanding and happy customers in Thuringia, and sees opportunities to work closer with other HE institutions in this area.
