Scientia GmbH has just held its 10th User Conference for Syllabus Plus users in Germany and Austria. The Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften (HAW) in Hamburg has been a user of S+ since 2002 and hosted the event by providing the appropriate locations and equipment. The former traditional School of Engineering has, in recent years, become a highly prestigious HE institution for technical and economical studies in Northern Germany with more than 14,000 students. 42 delegates, representing 21 HE institutions in Germany and FH Salzburg GmbH in Austria, followed a compact agenda. A presentation of the new Scientia Enterprise generation; discussions about tips and tricks; experienced reports by users; workshops for administrators and timetablers and a guest presentation by Arthur Veenstra from University of Amsterdam provided an exciting and valuable set of information for all delegates.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary event, delegates were taken on a guided bus tour through the city of Hamburg followed by an evening boat cruise with dinner on the River Elbe to the world famous harbor of Hamburg. The attendees enjoyed a late afternoon/evening with bright sunshine, great views and excellent food in a fantastic atmosphere!
